Business Analyst (Contract) (Richmond)

Our client is looking for a few business analysts who will be responsible for working with internal clients to develop requirements and processes for a key project.

Things you need to have:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business, 5 years' experience in IT projects, 2 years' experience in Business Systems Analysis & Design.
Experience eliciting and documenting business/functional/non-functional requirements by interviewing stakeholders, subject matter experts and facilitating JAD sessions
Experience working on Business Process Modeling (BPM) projects, understands BPM concepts and technologies and process modeling.
It would be great if you also had:

Exposure to SOA system requirements
Experience developing graphical business process diagrams using Business Process Modeling & Notation (BPMN 2.0) techniques
Exposure to or understanding of jBPM (Jboss Business Process management -- workflow engine & graphical editor) or any other similar Business Process Analysis (BPA) tools.
Exposure to or understanding of Drools, ILOG JRules, Rule Team Server, or any other Business Rules Management systems (BRMS).
Exposure to Enterprise Database applications (Oracle 10g+, SQL Server 2000+, etc;).
Exposure to Web 2.0, OOP, SOA, XML, Web-services, OASIS SOA Reference Model
What you will be doing:

You will be doing business analysis and functional system design, with emphasis on end-customer/ business experience and end-customer value.
You will be gathering business, functional & non-functional, requirement specifications, from initial phase to final implementation, using a variety of techniques including use cases, user personas & stories.
You will be participation in iterative development and delivery cycles.
You will have Interaction with SOA architects, application developers, application BAs and PMs, QA testers, technical writers and marketing staff, for the full project life cycle.
You might be involved in demo emerging application capabilities to internal and external audiences.
